Steelhead Fishing with SRSR

The Steelhead we fish for are amazing fish born in the pristine waters of the Upper Salmon  River.  They travel approximately 900 miles to the Pacific Ocean, spend 2-3 years, then travel back to spawn in the upper reaches and tributaries of the Salmon River.  They arrive in the fall and stay through spring, when spawning occurs.

We fish for steelhead in the spring and fall. Our spring season runs from late February through mid-April depending on ice out and water conditions.  The fall season runs from October to late November, again depending on freeze-up.

We usually fish in the Challis area in the spring and the Salmon/North Fork area in the fall.

Weather may be a little chilly these times of year, so a hot lunch is provided.
