2010 Spring Idaho Steelhead Fishing Update

This is the year to Fish for Steelhead in Idaho’s Salmon River.  The current steelhead run through Granite Dam is more than two times the five year average.  Fish are in the Challis area now and a mild winter should have ice off the majority of the river sooner than normal.  Call now to book your trip or just to ask about conditions.

Welcome to Salmon River Scenic Run (SRSR).  We are family oriented floating and fishing outfitters on one of the most beautiful rivers in Idaho, in one of the most beautiful places, Central Idaho.  We are licensed and bonded to guide on 140 miles of the main Salmon River, one of the longest undammed river in the Lower 48.  Our upper stretch begins at Torrey’s Hole and we end at Corn Creek, passing the towns of Clayton, Challis, and Salmon on the way to Corn Creek.  We are headquartered in Challis, Idaho

We offer both scenic and whitewater float trips, as well as fishing for steelhead and trout.  SRSR is not a one size fits all “box store” outfit.  We take pride in our ability to customize your trip to fit your needs. Wildlife is plentiful and there is always the chance you will see bighorn sheep, deer, elk, beaver, otters or our other resident wildlife.

Whether you are just passing through or are looking for the highlight of your vacation, give us a call and we will help plan your river adventure today!
